What I've learned in Doraemon

.

After working in my full time job as a computer technician, I came home exhausted. I've got plenty of work during this day. So, I'm feeling very unwell, I have a sore throat, headache and I felt like burning. Maybe its due to the weather and the two air conditioner in the office. It was always set to full because of the six computer servers we maintained and monitored. Even if I wore a jacket, I'm still cold. I guess I was born having this kind of characteristics. I get cold easily.

I came home early than my mother and my sister again. But I'm not alone, my two little nephews are accompanying me. As we watched Boys over Flowers, one of my nephew accidentally broke a glass when he was about to drink an orange juice. The glass slipped off in his small hands. Oh well the floor was messed up with the broken pieces of glass and juice. I have no choice, I have to clean it. I didn't scolded him and said nothing. Because I know how it feels to be scolded and to be in that situation.

While picking up the pieces of the broken glass, I suddenly recalled my experience when I was young. I'm in the same situation like my little nephew. That time, I broke a large bowl of cooking pot (it was a glass-type). I accidentally dropped the pot when I was trying to get it out in the cabinet because I'm going to cook something. My father got frustrated and scolded me. He told me some foul words that really hurts my feeling. I want to cry that time but I stop myself. I felt annoyed.

That time I'm fond of watching the tv series of Doraemon. Who's not familiar of Doraemon? At some side, we consider it only for kids. Each episode has a different story and lesson we could gain. The most touching episode I've seen was, when Novita asked Doraemon to return in the past when he was still a baby who's not force to study too often, who only sleeps, and eats when hungry. For Novita, studying is very tiring, and that is somewhat makes him always got a low grade in school. He's the type of an easy-going kid, who's not interested in studying. Well, Doraemon as we all know, he's a cat, a robot who has a pocket that contains hi-tech gadgets. He is also a very helpful friend to Novita even if there were times that he was in trouble because of him. Then as the series goes on, He and Novita went in the past by using the time machine. He granted Novita's wish even if it troubles him. That time, Novita's grandmother was the one who took care of him. Being a baby made him very comfortable and made him happy because he was free from doing things. If he want to sleep, he'll sleep, if he want to play, he'll play without getting scolded by his mother. And if he want to eat he'll just eat. Yet there were also some things he misses to do. That is he can't able to drink a softdrink or eat "hopia" which he really like to eat. All he have to eat is milk. Indeed, that's a normal food for babies. I also recalled that there were some scenes that he asked his grandmother that he would like to drink a softdrink. Well what do you think is the reaction? hehe... By surprised, the old woman called Novita's mother. But then having a no choice for Novita, he quickly drink the milk before his mother arrive. Maybe he was scared that his mother and grandmother would find out something about him being a very weird baby. (^^,)

Then, there's also a scene that he broke something that was really important for his mother. I'm not sure if it's a plate or a vase. Her mother became furious and about to scold him. But the grandmother defend him and told her that she should be thankful because her son doesn't get injured. What's more important is his son than anything else. A plate or a vase is just a thing that can be replace anytime. (It was very well said!)

So that's why I became annoyed by my father when he scolded me that moment. Somehow, using the episode of Doraemon as my basis had put me in my curiousity. I do want to know if my father have realized it or had the idea of it. Even if he never watched that anime, he should know what's more important in this world. It hurt my feelings. But then maybe he knows it. He knows how to cure my wound. Whe he cooked a delicious snack for us, it made me forgot all the stabs and ache I got before. And every thing will be fine again.

Watching that kind of show is not bad at all. Besides, it was made for everyone, who believes that it trully can brought moral lesson and entertainment to all viewers.

Last week after having a hard time worrying about something that makes me too down for four days, a bit baffled yet in one single time my mood changes into normal. It was the help of Ms. Yoshiki Nakamura's manga - SKIP BEAT. Yey! Actually I never had the effort to read a manga before because I'm very lazy when it comes in reading manga (that's because I prefer watching..=P)yet suddenly it awakens again my addiction to anime. Weeee!!!! I never thought that I would dare to read the manga within five days chapters 1-139... whew! I became very excited and often craving for more chapters. Each chapter has 28-31 pages maximum, can you imagine that? I read the manga from 8pm to 3am, I became addicted to it. So, I got no proper sleep as of now but its okay! At least I am not feeling too pressured and bothersome until now. It really helps me to re-charge my confidence and cheerful mood.

Skip Beat has a unique blend of comedy, romance, and slice of life. It drives you crazy and in love everytime you read the manga or watches its video. All your worries will fade out I'm sure of it. (^^,)

It made me cry always!

sThere is an anime series which can made me shed tears every time I watched it. Since the very first episode up to now, it struck my heart always. The creators know how to play the feelings of every individual. They can make the viewers experience mixed emotions. Believe it or not! Even boys do cry!

This anime series that I'm referring to is CLANNAD. ^^,)

Clannad (according to wikipedia) is a Japanese visual novel created by the software company Key, who also produced the successful titles Kanon and Air. The series has a mixture of comedy, romance, slice of life and fantasy that really made this anime breathtaking. It also provides lessons and real life experiences of a certain individual.

Clannad is divided into two segments -School Life and After Story which serve as different phases in overall story. Season1, focuses in school life of the main characters while season 2 is the continuation of life and journey of Nagisa (main character) a young cute girl who has a weak body but have a very strong characteristics which whatever difficulties occur, she can still manage to handle it. This is very emotional indeed.

Currently, they have already released the first 20 videos of the season 2. Four more to go to end up the series. Season 1 and 2 are composed of 24 episodes each; full of romance, comedy, fantasy and slice of life.

Clannad After Story, 24 episodes

Clannad (Season 1)
24 episodes

This anime is one of my favorite series. Why? Just watch it! ^^,)

Today's topic is all about pencil sketch. As I have promised, I will post here some of my artworks here in blog-it rob. I've done a pencil sketch of my favorite pig character. I like pigs because they are cute, bubbly and squishy. The first anime that has a pig character that I have watched is Sunny Pig or the Tokyo Pig.

I watched it on GMA7 seven (7) years ago. That anime series can make you laugh because the characters were very funny, and weird. The pig there is so cute, especially when he dances and would kiss the forehead of the little boy (I've forgot the name of the main character) You can check its synopsis at http://www.ultimatedisney.com/tokyopig.html

The second anime is in Clannad, the pet of Kyou. The pig's name is botan. Botan is a brown colored animal who always bawl the word "puhi".

These anime series inspire me to draw, and helps me to practice more.

Here are my artworks of different images of pig.

this image is the birthday pig, I made this when I celebrated my birthday.

this one is the
annoyed pig. I just got the idea when I was watching an anime series then I saw the annoying face of the character. I try it on to a pig and it looks good.

this one is the super pig or more likely the bully pig, who always want to beat other pigs.

this is a birthday gr
eeting pig. I used this when my friends had their birthday. I put this in their profile in friendster to greet them a happy birthday with a smile and a balloon.

___________________________________________________________________

this is a huge family of pigs. I make it more colorful and compact to each other to show the real meaning of "family".

I made this image when I miss someone special to me. A picture of a pig who wants to be hug by someone she loves.

this image shows so much affection.
A pig that is so much in love to someone that his eyes turn into heart shape and blushes.

this is a blogging pig. I used this image in my previous post.

this is a confuse pig, I also used this image in my previous post about my blog name.

this image shows
friendliness. I also used this image for greeting my friends.

a "thanks for the add" image, and the "thanks for viewing" image.

Dreaming to be a comic artist!

.

Well yes! I am dreaming to be a comic artist. It started when I was influenced by the Japanese anime and manga. Nine years ago, I was forced to watched an anime series which is the Ghost Fighter that I've featured already in my previous post. This anime series awakens me and brought me to a new world. A world that individuals can make use of their imaginations, their deep thoughts, can express them selves that can see and be witness by many people. I was then a very observative person, with a simple lifestyle. When I am alone and silent, I have many things in my mind. Sometimes I'm visualizing a good scene, the characters were anime style. There were times that I want to draw the events happened which I was a part of it and the people I love. When I have my free time, like in college, I often draw my classmates and friend in anime design. In that way I can practice my skills in drawing. I started to draw when I was in elementary, my drawings were not that good but still it can be considered as an artwork somehow, even if my character's body were huge and were all fat. Whenever I have a glimpes of it, I just laugh at it. hehe... But I'm not making my own comics yet, I just design my characters the way I wanted it to be.

As I entered high school, I met someone who was also an addict to anime especially in Ghost Fighter. We became friends. She has a sister that is really like her, their like twins, their so much alike, however they are not like that. Her elder sister is very talented, she has the skills of an animator. Her skills in drawings are very awesome. She can draw the cast of Ghost Fighter without looking to a picture. And so I was amazed again and inspired! She have shown me lots of her collections and artworks, and undeniably its a "WOW". Then again, I trained myself, of course there is a progress. I usually use my skills in my projects, I put designs that were different from the common layouts. The school year has ended, my friend told me that she will not going to enroll by next school year but will transfer to other school.

Then the next 2 years were heating up because the students were focus in their studies. During lectures, I consistently make sketches in my photocopies. Sketches of my teacher in anime form, or even myself attached with a balloon and caption. Then slowly, my classmates discovered my skills, they want to see my artworks or simple drawings that I have at the back of my notebook. Some were astonish and my friends love it.

When I became a fourth year high school, I met someone who has a skill same as mine. She is intelligent, with analytical mind. She's the one who have influence me to make my own comics. Her collections are her very own comics which she's the one who construct the story and design the characters. When we became friends, we provided a small notebook, we exchange our thoughts through drawings. Our experiences were drawn and have putted in the notebook. When we consumed all the pieces of papers, it turn out to be a comics. Our very own comics which has full of inspiration, opinions, thoughts, dreams and experiences in our friendship.

After graduation, she gave the notebook to me, it is a remembrance of our friendship, dreams, and hopes. The dedication remains in me. She influenced me something that I can use of my ability. Something that I can share to my new friends.

Then in college, I practice more, make comics again. I never stop to draw. Everyday, I dream to be an animator or a comic artist. There were lots of treasured memories that kept in my heart that I want to turn into a comics. Like the story of meeting a real friend, competing, meeting my special someone. It has a different stories and I want it to show to all the people. I also dream of having it publish or make it a comic book. Someday, in God's will it will happen. I have many ideas that I'd like to turn into a comics, I'm sure many people will love it. I'm not giving it up, the dream I had.

I have read tips from Mr. Gerry Alanguilan - he is a filipino comic book writer and artist as well. It is about
How To Get Into Comics Today

A tips especially made for young artist who wants to be a comic artist. From his tips I've got an idea how can I pursue my dreams. It's great that I've discovered his blog and own website. Thank you for the wonderful tips.

bLog-it: ANIME!

.

Well let's talk about anime!

Anime is indeed popular since it has started until now. There are many different styles of animation which portrays each culture, values of a certain people and of their country. Japanese animations are very well known. Through this animations we could learn and had known of the Japanese traditions, their rituals, clothes, foods, sports, and their creativity in arts, technology and others.

As for my opinion: Anime for me is a great form of art because through this, it shows and proves how creative an individual can be. It digs the human psyche and imaginations. You can feel the passion, sense, motivation and dedication of the animators, producing a great story which can attract and be love by many people who will watch it.

Because of human's uniqueness, different in perception and likeness, there will be some who will be not hook in watching these shows. Some of my friends doesn't like anime and or not fond of it. "Its only for kids, why would I watch it?" they said. It's kinda irritating but the only thing I can do is respect them for what they believe in. Watching anime can let me feel relaxed, comfortable, can help me widen my creativity and knowledge.

During my class in COG 111 (computer graphics design and animation) my instructor gave us a photocopy of his research about animation. From that photocopy, animation is related to a poem. It defines poem as expression of thoughts, emotions through words while animation, is an expression also of thoughts, emotions, values, through drawings and movements of graphics.

Anime has its category and subcategories. There are 28 subcategories,

1. Action anime like Library war, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, etc.
2. Adventure anime like Lupin III
3. Comedy like Midori days (comedy-romance), Clannad (comedy-drama-romance), lovely complex, etc.
4. Comedy-drama
5. Crime
6. Cyberpunk like Ghost in the shell, appleseed
7. Detective like Detective Conan
8. Drama
9. Fantasy like anime with supernatural powers, magic
10. Harem anime
11. Hentai - which shows scenes that are not for minors. More on naked bodies and sex.
12. Historical anime
13. Horror anime like Ayakashi
14. Kaito anime
15. Magical Anime like Sailormoon, Wedding Peach
16. Martial Arts Anime like Boxing anime - Knockout; Judo; Karate; Street Fighter
17. Medical Anime
18. Mystery Anime
19. Occult Detective Anime
20. Romance Anime like Tokimeki Memorial, Lovely Com, Clannad
21. Romantic Comedy Anime
22. Science Fantasy Anime
23. Science Fiction Anime
24. Steampunk Anime
25. Supernatural Anime
26. Suspense Anime
27. Western Anime

Reference site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Anime_and_manga_by_genre

My favorite type of anime is comedy-romance, or romance anime and also sporty anime such as Slam Dunk, Big Windup, Prince of Tennis. It separates me from depression and stress in work life. These anime shows also gives the viewers a lesson, make them inspired and motivates them through the inspirational lines that the viewers can get.

One of the anime series that can inspire me and motivates me to not give up on something I really want to pursue is Naruto.
In this anime series, when Naruto has always a battle, he would never tried to give up even if he was badly injured. Motivation and love for his friends are his strength to defeat his enemies. He makes me smile after he have said his favorite lines - "I'm Uzumaki Naruto, I'll become the next Hokage someday!" His character is very admirable, he's the one who never accept defeat, and always training himself to be the most powerful ninja so that he can be able protect the people who are close to him and also the village of konoha.
Uzumaki Naruto was a loner back then when he was small due to the kyuubi, a powerful monster that lies within him. The people living in konoha were afraid of him, so he can't gain friends. However, he never considered it as a hindrance in his ambition to become the next Hokage.

My review: Anime on board!

.

Well I want to feature first in this blog the anime series that I got hooked in. It was then when I was 13 yrs. old when I started to watch anime series. Watching anime makes me feel relaxed, addicted, and even helps me widen my creativity in arts. I became passionate, bold and inspired to make some of my own comics that has a mixture of different style of culture. The characters were made from my deep imagination and I designed my characters the way I wanted it to.

Ghost Fighter or Yu Yu Hakusho - is the first anime tv series that I've watched. It was lately showed at GMA 7 (a Channel Network in the Phil.). At first, I thought it was the same as the other shows that I have already watched but when I tried to watched one of the episodes of GF, I felt something deep within that triggers me a lot. Then I just said to my self that "this is a good anime!". Then I begun watching it and became hooked in anime. It gives the viewers a thrill, excitement in every scenes especially the episodes of Eugene/Yusuke-Taguro fight in the arena. During that time GF became the no.1 anime show in the Philippines because many of the Filipino viewers were getting addicted to it. Undeniably, it was such a great anime series, it has the blend of action, adventure, romance and funny scenes.

I will never forget Eugene Urameshi

A 14 year old who became a spirit world detective after he died when he tried to save a little boy. Eugene is a naughty boy who always skips classes and spending his time in the roof top of the school. He has many comrades and one of those brats is Alfred, who can't win against him in the fight. Yusuke has an extraordinary power, his Rei gun is very powerful that can blow a huge rock into dust.

Jenny and Eugene moment

This picture was when Yusuke and the others were having a battle with the monsters in the underworld. Jenny is Yusuke's childhood friend who is very popular with the guys in their school. She is kind, attractive, has a gentle and soft voice.

Alfred / KuwabaraKuwabara is the former comrade of Yusuke who can't win even once. But later became Yusuke's best friend, he has the spiritual sword power. Many says that he was weak and always loses fight during their battle against the underworld. However, he can power up his strenght even if he was badly injured through his love for Michaela or Yukina. His role for me, makes the story more lively.

The CAST

The casts of GF:

From left to right

Vincent or Hiei - is a demon with third eye who has the power of black dragon spirit technique and blue spirit sword. He also uses sword for his minor fights. He is extremely fast that when fighting you can't see how many slashes he had made to kill his enemies.

Dennis or Kurama - like Hiei is a demon who was a cold hearted and a thief fox before. But when he came into the human world and have learned the values, habits of humans and because of his foster mother, his cold-heart changes into a kind hearted person. He is intelligent, calm, popular with girls in school. He has the abiltity to summon and control plants, he makes use it as rose whip, sword, blood sucking plant, and more.

Eugene or Yusuke - lately reveals that he has a blood of a demon. He is a half human half demon who is very powerful.

Alfred or Kuwabara (at the back)
Jenny - Childhood friend of Yusuke
Charlene - is one of the spirit who serve Koenma and also makes a report of the status of the human world.
